Take a coffee break

Contrary to popular belief, the best time to drink your coffee is not right after you wake up, but at times throughout the day when you are actually at work. Between 9:30 am and 11:30 am, and 1:30 pm and 5:00 pm, our bodies’ cortisol levels drop, making us feel sluggish and weary.

During these times, the energy-boosting effects of caffeine can rescue you. Good thing most companies have coffee machines in the office. So whenever you feel stressed at work, fix yourself a cup of Joe.

Walk around

Sitting at your desk for prolonged periods is not only bad for your posture, but can also have a lasting detrimental effect on your health. The most effective way to combat this is to get up and just walk. Take a few steps around your office floor or if you have a few minutes to spare, take a stroll outside.

It sounds simple, but walking can help alleviate back pains from sitting too long and also help you clear your mind from work-related stress.

Being aware of your breathing, reciting a mantra or by just simply closing your eyes and being silent are just a few ways you can practice meditation.
