{carpenter} The 2010-2011 school year is my tenth year teaching at Washington Union School. I really enjoy spending my days with the students there. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation of Natural Resources with an emphasis in Outdoor Education from U. C. Berkeley. I received my teaching credential from Chapman University. Prior to teaching in the classroom I worked for the National Park Service for several years at both Sequoia National Park and Death Valley N.P as a Ranger/Naturalist. I also worked for 13 years as a Historic Guide at Monterey State Historic Park. In my free time I like to spend time with my family. My husband Jim is a retired Park Ranger and I have three children, David, Douglas, and Jaclyn. I also enjoy reading, hiking, and traveling.
