The Washington Union School District
Parents' Club

The WUSD Parent's Club is a district-wide organization made up of parents and teachers who share the common goal of fostering and facilitating a strong sense of school spirit. We accomplish this by providing services for parents and students, hosting events, and offering financial support for the needs of our school district.

Our fundraisers each year include: Educational Speakers Series for Parents, SchoolDirectory Sales, Emergency Bag Sales, Harvest Time Carnival and BBQ (Our biggestfundraiser), Holiday Gift Shop at Toro Park School, Holiday Topiary Sales, benefitting our music program, Ariel Theatrical Night, School Spirit Wear, Toro Park and Washington Union School's Open House Dinners, and the Toro Park School Dance Festival Picnic.

The money raised is used in many ways. Parent's Club hosts two staff appreciation luncheons. Teachers are given $100 in the fall and an additional $100 in the spring to use as they wish for classroom needs. Parents' Club also provides funds for the Art Docent Volunteer Appreciation luncheon. All additional money raised by Parents’ Club is distributed proportionately to each school site at the end of the school year. School site teachers and administrators determine how to use these funds to best meet
their school’s needs.
